What is a Vitamix blender?
Vitamix is one of the most well-known high-speed blender companies on the market. Vitamix has a wide range of high-powered blenders, you can choose a model with all the bells and whistles or one of the more basic models. No matter what, Vitamix has the best blenders that will bring value and ease to your healthy kitchen. Each model has stainless steel blades that quickly puree food. Its powerful motor is durable enough to handle fresh or frozen foods!
What can you make in a Vitamix?
This powerful blender features variable speed controls and pulse functions. Some models have a food processor attachment, making it an even better choice for your kitchen! The blending process takes less time than most blenders. You can add the foods you want to be blended and walk away!
– Smoothies, smoothie bowls, and “ice cream”: Whether you want a whole fruit smoothie or looking to get in leafy greens, smoothies are a go-to for this high-speed blender. I love filling up mine to the top with fresh smoothie ingredients to make a creamy smoothie for everyone in the family. This high-speed blender is also capable of executing an excellent thick texture for smoothie bowls. It can even create “nice cream” by simply tossing in frozen fruit and blending.
– Nut Milk and Oat Milk: Creating nut milks in a Vitamix is easy with a few steps! If you want to make nut milks with this blender, you’ll need to purchase a nut milk bag to strain the milk. But you will end up with silky milk that tastes pure with clean ingredients. Here is a simple almond milk recipe to see how.
– Nut butters: Are you tired of overpriced nut butters with added oils and sugar? The Vitamix is your answer to making your own! Create creamy smooth nut butters or crunchy ones with better nutrition than store-bought butter. Here is a recipe on how to.
– Sauces and soups: Add nutritional value and flavor to each meal with a sauce or soup. With these high-powered blenders, you can puree hot or cold foods. Creating soups and sauces is best because you can control the amount of sugar, oil, and sodium that goes into the recipe.
– Salad dressings and dips: Similar to sauces and soups, creating your salad dressings and dips is the best way to control the amount of sugar, oil, and sodium that goes into your recipes. Creating your own will always be healthier!
– Baby food or kid purees: I love using my Vitamix to make baby foods and purees for kids. Steam foods, puree them, then store them in reusable pouches or baby food jars for later or on the go.

Vitamix Cons:
The only con I have with the Vitamix is you need at least two cups of fruits, vegetables, or liquid for it to efficiently work. With that being said, I have this model and can’t speak for every product Vitamix has. Since they have high-powered motors the base can be a little bulkier and heavier than most blenders. I’ve had mine for over five years and it works as well as it did out of the box.
If you’re ready to try Vitamix and want a basic setup, this option is great. I’ve had mine for six years and it’s still working like its new!
Vitamix conclusion:
As you can see this blender has a lot to offer. A Vitamix is the best option if you want to create more recipes with pure ingredients and a quick healthy meal.

What are Cold-Press Juicers?
Juicers have been trending in the kitchen for the past several years. The documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead was my first introduction to the juicing craze. Then I worked at a local juice shop in Columbus and learned about juicing, cleanses, and how to care for and create the best juice for optimal health. Let’s cover all the information you need to see if a juicer is right for you.
A standard juicer juices fruits and vegetables with very high speeds and heat. This causes fruits and vegetables to oxide quickly, killing their nutrients and making their shelf life less than 24 hours. While a cold press machine extracts juice from fruits and vegetables at a slow speed and gives you a crisp fresh glass of juice. With a cold press juicer, juice can last in the refrigerator for 4-5 days, depending on the ingredients you use.
I started with this juicer, I got it from a friend. I liked it at the time, but eventually investing in a cold press juicer was the best choice for health goals. It was frustrating to have to make juice each day and clean it every day. But now I drink fresh juice every day!
What kind of cold press juicer to get:
Budget-friendly and effective: AMZCHEF Masticating Juicer Machines with Reverse Function
Wide Feed Chute: Aobosi Juicer Machine, Slow Masticating Juicer
Best Seller: Canoly Powerful Slow Cold Press Juicer with Large Feed Chute
Advanced and easy to clean: Hurom H310A Personal Self-Feeding Slow Masticating Juicer
Best overall: Nama J2
Personally, having a cold press juicer is important because I make a gallon of juice at a time. Then, I drink 32 oz a day, it lasts me four days. I also make my family’s almond milk in it every week in a cold press juicer!
What you make with a cold press juicer:
Fruit and vegetable juice: Whether you want a simple carrot juice, green juice, or a mix of fruits and veggies, a cold press juicer is an easy way to crank out the best juice you can drink!
Nut milks: I can’t speak for every juicer, but I can make nut milks with my Name J2 juicer and love that it is less of a process than making nut milks with a Vitamix.
Cons of a cold press juicer:
After running fruits and vegetables through a juicer they do contain less fiber. Also, daily juicing adds up quickly and becomes expensive. Other than that I don’t have any cons for owning a cold press juicer. Drinking fresh juice will load your body with nutrients that are easy to digest and since you’re not eating heavy foods, you’ll have more energy when consuming juice.
Cold press juicer conclusion:
Whether you want fresh juice daily, weekly, or are getting into cleansing a cold press juicer is a great way to boost health! That will encourage nutrient intake and help with digestion. With a cold press juicer, you can batch juice and have juice ready to start your day in the healthiest way possible! If that’s what you want, then a cold press juicer is right for you.
Cold press juicer vs Vitamic conclusion:
Which is best for you? When using either appliance consistently you can see health benefits like lowered blood sugar, lower cholesterol, better digestion, weight loss, and more! With a Vitamix, you can make several different types of food, The end result of having this high-end blender is that you’ll have efficient ways to add nutrients to about every meal. With a cold press juicer, you’ll have fresh pure juice that will aid digestion, and boost nutrient intake. When using the juicer regularly you could also see weight loss, lowered cholesterol, and lowered blood sugar.
Take a moment and this about what your health and kitchen goals are. Then sort through the pros and cons of each appliance and see which would be a good option for you!
