Like most of us, I grew up on the Standard American Diet. I struggled with hormone imbalances, digestive issues, weight fluctuation, and low energy throughout my life. In my 20’s I experimented with different diets, exercises, and medications, hoping to feel like myself. Eventually, research led me to a plant-based diet. Within the first month, I noticed I had more energy, my digestive track was healing, and my mood swings started to settle!
It was hard for me to stay on track with my eating habits, and it has taken years to conquer. After a couple of years of going back and forth, I finally said enough was enough and committed to going plant-based. During this time, I had been calorie counting for months to lose weight and still felt crappy. Once I switched, guess what? I lost the last ten pounds I was trying to shred and felt better than ever!
Since starting my health journey, I’ve become certified as a Holistic Health Coach through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I’ve also become certified in Plant-based Nutrition through eCornell’s Nutrition Studies Program. I’ve also completed a Plant-based Vegan certification through the American Culinary Federation.
Throughout my education, I fell in love with experimenting with plant-based recipes! I love creating fresh flavorful recipes that anyone can enjoy. My goal for this blog is to share delicious recipes along with the amazing health benefits that plant-based eating has to offer!
